Hi! I'm Zorka, and I am a Viticulture & Enology and French double major. I have always believed in the Serbian proverb that for every language you know, you are worth that many people, in that language opens new doors and lives that you would have never known existed had you not learned the language. For me, French has done just that. Since learning it in 2021, I have built countless friendships and gained valuable connections around the world because I was able to communicate in their native language. This summer I went to Switzerland, Armenia, and Georgia on a Summer University program hosted by Changins University in Switzerland for winemaking. I managed to make friends with many of the French and Swiss students in the program because I spoke the language that was most comfortable for them. I got to practice my French, and travel with new friends across the Caucasus and Western Europe, learning all about different wine regions and their history. Including Georgia which is the birthplace of winemaking itself!
