The African Literature Association announced that its 2021 First Book Award goes to Professor Tobias Warner (French) for The Tongue-Tied Imagination: Decolonizing Literary Modernity in Senegal (Fordham University Press). This award recognizes an outstanding book in African literary studies published in the previous calendar year.
